As 2015 comes to a close I’ve taken some time to reflect on the past year; specifically to reflect and remember all the beautiful places I’ve been fortunate enough to visit in the past twelve months.
Looking back now, I sure had a hell of a year and I’m looking forward to keeping this momentum going in 2016. Here’s a quick recap of my favourite travelling moments of this year.
Disneyworld, Florida, USA
2015 started off with a bang when I got to watch fireworks go off behind Walt Disney’s catle on New Years Eve, in the most magical place on Earth.
Tagging along with my dad for a quick business trip was certainly worth it! We were able to spend a few days in Washington visiting the White House and posing as president of the USA for a moment.Runaway Bay, Jamaica
For a moment in time I rebelled against all-inclusive resort vacations, insisting I wanted to be a traveller, not a tourist. However, you really can’t go wrong with a quick four-day girls trip full of sunshine and pina coladas.
Of course 2015 brought my heart back to one of my favourite European cities. Beautiful, wild, and eccentric, Amsterdam will never get old.Berlin, Germany
A city has never captured my heart so quickly as Berlin did. This historical and newly liberal city has quickly climbed to the top of my favourites list and I am hoping to head back ASAP. Berlin is actually one of the few cities I could see myself living in.
Prague, Czech Republic
The prettiest town that ever was, Prague is another place that truly enchanted me this year. Old Town Square was where I found myself entertained every single night of my stay here.
2015 was my second visit to Austria and I am so grateful for the opportunity to go back. The second time around was truly a charm and I was able to appreciate the beauty, history, and culture much more.
Hawaii captured my heart two years ago when I visited the island of Oahu. I didn’t think I could fall anymore in love with these islands of paradise until I touched down in Maui. From beautiful coastlines, stunning beaches, and exotic mountains, Maui literally has it all and I cannot wait to go back.
I actually visited Lanai by accident when our travel agent booked us on the wrong excursion in Maui. Nonetheless, having the opportunity to sail over to the quiet and secluded island of Lanai for the day was a much appreciated day of peace and rest.
Of course the final highlight of 2015 is my favourite place on Earth. Oahu still holds all the special magic it did when I first visited the island.
