Top 10 Vegan Eats in Ottawa

Hey guys! Today I’m going to be sharing with you my favorite vegan spots in the city of Ottawa! I had only been vegan for a few months before I moved to Ottawa for school, so I really no idea what the vegan scene was like here. However, after months of living in the city and exploring, I think I can safely say I’ve discovered some of the most delicious vegan friendly spots in Ottawa!

Admittedly, I frequented some of these places way too often during my first semester and the vegan pizza and poutine caught up with me very quickly. Needless to say, the freshman fifteen is a real thing. I’d like to add a disclaimer in here now that just because something is vegan, does not mean it’s healthy! Vegan junk food is still junk food, and while it can help new vegans transition, the bulk of your diet should still come from whole, clean foods.

Now, let’s get into my top ten vegan eats in Ottawa!

  1. Perfection Satisfaction Promise
This cute, ethnically inspired restaurant is right across from the University of Ottawa, making it one of my go to places. They feature a variety of vegan and gluten free options within a fixed menu and rotating daily specials. They also offer dine in or takeout, so whether you plan to stay and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere or head out, you can still indulge in their tasty dishes!

They have absolutely insane appetizers like loaded avocados and cauliflower wings, and feature some very tasty sandwiches and burgers. You can also get juices, smoothies, and elixirs here, as well as alcoholic beverages if you’re feeling fancy.

I love coming here to study during the week, but it can get crazy busy and loud, so just keep that in mind! The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable and more than willing to tell you about their vegan options! Be sure to try out their coffee with your vegan treats; they do offer soy milk as well!

This is a vegetarian restaurant with an endlessly changing menu! They don’t have a set menu as everything is prepared fresh at the restaurant at 6am very morning.
