Travel Inspired Books for your Coffee Table

If you’re anything like me then you must be a sucker for any type of cute travel inspired decor. I love to put travel inspired items around my home to remind me of beautiful places I’ve been and beautiful places I hope to go. My latest fascination has been with these stunning photo books from talented travel photographers across the globe. I call these “coffee table books” because essentially they sit as a centre piece on my coffee table for myself or guests to flip through when we want to momentarily escape the four walls of my apartment.

Follow Me To: A Journey around the World Through the Eyes of Two Ordinary Travelers

If you have Instagram then you’ve definitely heard of Murad and Nataly Ossman. The two quickly went viral with their “relationship goals” photos of them in extravagant places. This book contains photos of them across several continents, showcasing different lifestyles and cultures, dripping in dazzling jewels and surrounded in love.

Humans of New York

Another “Instagram famous” photographer, Brandon Stanton captivates everyone with simple photos of ordinary people on the streets of New York, with the most eccentric stories. Brandon has recently come out with a follow-up to this book which includes in-depth stories of each person photographed; truly an eye-opening and very touching read.

Paris in Color

The perfect pretty and chic book; here you’ll find stunning photos of Paris across a rainbow spectrum of colours. Nicole Robertson uses a unique photography technique and captures specific areas of Paris, categorizing them in this feminine book by their pastel colours.

Gift from the Sea

This beautifully simple read doesn’t have any photos, but don’t let that stop you from adding this to your collection. In a small, pocket-sized book, Anne Morrow Lindbergh reminds us all how to enjoy the simple things in life.

kate spade new york: places to go, people to see

Kate Spade is always girly, elegant, and charming. This book makes the perfect addition to anyone’s coffee table with its vibrant photography, old-world glamour, a dash of charm and inspirational quotes, tips and words of wisdom for any traveller.

Window Seat: Reading the Landscape from the Air

This book will take you around the world from 35,000 in the air. Gregory Dicum decodes the sights to be seen on flights across North America. Pick up this book for any interesting perspective on the entire globe itself!

I love coffee table books! My boyfriend sometimes complains that they get “in the way” but I totally love ’em. These are some really great picks! I’ve got the very cliche 1000 Places to See Before You Die. But I hate the lack of pictures. You’ve gone and solved my problem!
